My morning gratitude for:

1. My brother Joe who celebrated another birthday yesterday.  I love him a lot and look forward to seeing him around the next time at Christmas.  His birthday reminds me of my gratitude for my bio family in SoCal too.
2. A thought provoking and wise sermon  from Caleb at SWC yesterday.  Talking about those who can’t have children, Caleb explored the Christians deep faith in Gods listening ears and the ongoing work of God in our lives- that we believe that God has done and will continue to do the miraculous, inspire of our pains and hurts and tragedies.  And that dovetailed nicely into acknowledging the miraculous that is needed to reconcile our world in the midst of its unbearable pains with France, Beirut and Japan as its faces this week.
3. Scott Bowers and his crazy love of the hottest of hot sauces!!!
