My morning gratitude for:

1. Psalm 103:13, which says “As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.” As a new father, there is something goose bumpy about reading that passage and knowing the depth of love and emotions I feel towards my son when he is smiling, hugging me, getting shots and crying, preparing to hurt himself, or looking for someone to hold him after he’s been hurt or scared by something.  I am grateful to have Gods gift of that feeling in my life.
2. Sleep without children. (Thank you wife for allowing this!)
3. Water, which I often don’t drink but this week I have had a ton (since they don’t have any cokes either!).  It’s delicious cold and to the thirsty and is so stabilizing to my mind.  I often wonder why I don’t drink more during work because I love it so much, but here in the desert of Phoenix I am reminded of how much I like it.
