My morning gratitude for:

1. Amanda Pena, a nurse at the hospital who is very thoughtful about her life, her spirituality and her care of the families. I always appreciate seeing her and laughing with her!
2. Families at the hospital who come back for appointments or whatever and remember me.  Yesterday, a little boy who I baptized 3 years ago was in for a minor surgery and his family saw me and went out of their way to get my attention, share of A’s life, and express their gratitude for the baptism and support. It was great to see their smiles.  It is always great seeing a family thriving after the crisis they lived through.
3. Fog and low hanging clouds in the morning.  There is an eerieness to the fog that I love, and it just fascinates me to see something so beautiful yet mysterious (in a good way), suspended so artfully in the sky.
