Morning by Morning (11/7/19)

My daily gratitude for:

  1. Ryans 50th day at school, for which he dressed like a greaser…but his curls wouldn’t let slicked back hair work! He had his sleeves and pants rolled at the end too. Cute!
  2. Quiet relaxing nights with Liz.
  3. Our facilities staff at TCH. Doctors, nurses, ancillary staff- we get lots of credit. But these folks keep our units clean, our rooms immaculate, and who often provide the beautiful and critical support conversations with families.
  4. Walter Taylor, who I spent one weekend with back in Abilene. But it only took one weekend to see a man passionate for justice, for being a prophet of God, and for loving mercy. It was a privilege to meet him. Happy birthday Walter!
  5. Dr. Loncarich, the orthopedic surgeon I saw at Fondren Orthopedic Group. He was kind to me in my ignorance, engaged me in good conversation, and had a good curiosity along with his great knowledge.
  6. Restaurants that are kid friendly.
  7. Rainbows
