My daily gratitude for:
- Ryans 50th day at school, for which he dressed like a greaser…but his curls wouldn’t let slicked back hair work! He had his sleeves and pants rolled at the end too. Cute!
- Quiet relaxing nights with Liz.
- Our facilities staff at TCH. Doctors, nurses, ancillary staff- we get lots of credit. But these folks keep our units clean, our rooms immaculate, and who often provide the beautiful and critical support conversations with families.
- Walter Taylor, who I spent one weekend with back in Abilene. But it only took one weekend to see a man passionate for justice, for being a prophet of God, and for loving mercy. It was a privilege to meet him. Happy birthday Walter!
- Dr. Loncarich, the orthopedic surgeon I saw at Fondren Orthopedic Group. He was kind to me in my ignorance, engaged me in good conversation, and had a good curiosity along with his great knowledge.
- Restaurants that are kid friendly.
- Rainbows
