My daily gratitude for:

1. Our lawn guy Flavio, who for 5 years has been taking care of us. But this past week he got off his lawnmower mid job and played for 10 minutes with Ryan, helping him replant a plant, dig up weeds in the tree bed, and let him ride the mower (unengaged so no accidents) to his trailer. That was such kindness.
2. The wonderful service we did in the Heart Center yesterday for one of our superheroes and his superhero family.
3. Alison Carlman, one of the two RA’s I had in Florence. She was wonderful, supportive, funny, engaging, and of course the best partner (and future wife) of my roommate and other RA Joel. Happy birthday Alison!
4. Matt Musick, by far my favorite physician and the most in tune, earnest, balanced, and playful pediatric doctors I have known. Happy birthday Matt!
5. Shelley Conwell, one of the worlds finest nurses and a good friend to me. She says it like it is, but with a gifted compassion too. Happy birthday Shelley!
6. Stuffed crust pizza which I had never liked but yesterday was awesome. I love it!
7. A hot drink on a cool winter day.
