Morning by Morning (6/2/22)
June 2, 2022
My daily gratitude for:
- Love that carries words AND action.
- Gods justice, which I trust will come some day in full.
- Liz’s joy yesterday sharing stories about her favorite professor and being part of a great opportunity to develop her teaching through storytelling.
- Nugget Skates, a mentor and dear friend and a woman who is a conduit of Gods grace and welcome and fidelity to love of others. Her mark is all over my life with my parents, my brothers, and me. Happy birthday Nugget!
- Vernall Townsend, and the ways he led and coordinate worship at Arlington CofC with utmost joy, appreciation of every voice, and commitment to walking with God.
- All the words and reflections I have seen and read from John O Donohue.
- The podcast La Brega, which makes me think and reflect on the people, stories, and situation of Puerto Rico.
- the drawings and Knick knacks on my work desk that tell the stories of many children and families I have served.
- Having all of us chaplains in the same office now.
- Fresh baked bread or pitas or naan or whatever…I like the carbs.
- The classic song, “Wanted: Dead or Alive”!
